Alibaba has just unveiled its latest artificial intelligence model, Qwen 2.5, which is designed to take on top AI models like DeepSeek-V3 and OpenAI's GPT-4o. This new model boasts impressive capabilities, including natural language understanding, text generation, vision and audio processing, AI tool use, and chatbot role-play.
Qwen 2.5 is pre-trained on large-scale multilingual and multimodal data and post-trained on quality data to align with human preferences. It supports 29 languages, including Chinese, English, Spanish, and Arabic, and can process up to 128,000 tokens in context and generate outputs of up to 8,000 tokens.
One of the standout features of Qwen 2.5 is its ability to interact with software on both PCs and mobile devices. It can even control a computer, similar to OpenAI's Operator, and perform tasks like booking flights and interacting with apps.
Alibaba claims that Qwen 2.5 outperforms top AI models in various benchmarks, including video understanding, math, document analysis, and question-answering evaluations. However, it's worth noting that the model's performance may vary depending on the specific task and dataset.
