What is Cyber security?

🧑‍💻Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and sensitive information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. This includes:

1. Network security: Protecting computer networks from intrusion, hacking, and cyber-attacks.
2. Application security: Securing software applications from vulnerabilities and threats.
3. Data security: Protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
4. Endpoint security: Securing individual devices like computers, smartphones, and tablets.
5. Cloud security: Protecting data and applications stored in cloud environments.
6. Cyber intelligence: Gathering and analyzing threat intelligence to anticipate and prepare for cyber threats.
7.  Incident response: Responding to and managing cybersecurity breaches or incidents.

Cybersecurity is important because it helps protect:

1. Personal data and privacy
2. Financial information and transactions
3. Intellectual property and trade secrets
4. Business operations and reputation
5. National security and critical infrastructure

Effective cybersecurity requires a combination of technology, policies, and user awareness and education.
